Q. Can you tell us something about yourself?

A. We are Mr and Mr Sushen Bhatnagar. I am a director and my wife is a housewife. We both love dogs.

 

Q. Can you tell us something about your pet?

A. We have two pets, one male and one female namely Simba and Dora respectively. Both are Lhasa Apso who are 9 years old.

 

Q. What was it like when you first saw them?

A. My pets were only 1 month old when they came to our house. The only sad part was that they were crying a lot but in a day they settled down and we became their new parents.

 

Q. What was your learning experience from being a pet parent?

A. I have learn’t that both my pets are stress buster. Like humans even dogs have different nature like my male dog is very social and punctual in getting up early in the morning. My female dog is not very social and she is a bit lazy. We have an introvert female dog and an extrovert male dog in our family.

 

Q. What has been the biggest challenge of being a pet parent?

A. Both of my pets are small so they require a lot of attention. Again having a pet means one person has to always stay at home with them as small dogs get scared easily then bigger one’s.

 

Q. What has been a rewarding part of being a pet parent?

A. The most rewarding part is the love with which they welcome you whenever you return home is something which you can’t be compare with anything in this world. It is something which can’t be explained in words. Again having a pet has taught our kids important qualities like empathy, caring which is very hard to learn.

 

Q. Any important specific problem your dog have faced in the past?

A. My male dog has undergone a lot of surgery because stones keep on developing in his body but thankfully my female dog has not faced any such problems so medical problem is an issues when it comes to pets.

 

Q. Can you give us a message for new or aspiring pet parents? 

A. If you can take care of them in the best possible way then only you should get one. Again, you should never neglect a pet because they will be dependent on you till they die.
