Q. Can you tell us something about yourself?

A. I am Rishav Nandi and I am currently pursuing my engineering. I live with my family near Infinity Mall in Andheri

Q. Can you tell us something about your pet?

A. My pet’s name is Scooter and it has been only 2 weeks since I have adopted him. It is basically an Indian stray breed.

Q. What was it like when you first saw him?

A. When I first saw him, he was badly hurt. He was also shivering as he had fever so I was a bit scared. Under such circumstances, I kept my calm and got him treated. Today he is enjoying good health and a better life with me and my family.

Q. What has been the biggest challenge of being a pet parent?

A. When he came home, he was not well so it was a challenge to feed him. Syringe was only the way to feed & I found it difficult because he used to move a lot. They shed their hair a lot, so it is a problem to keep the house free from his hair but it is something which is quite normal and we are trying to cope with it.

Q. What has been the rewarding part of being a pet parent?

A. After he came home, people in my house have become very cheerful. At home, someone or the other is there with whom he can play.

Q. What has been your learning experience of being a pet parent?

A. I have learned that there is no difference between an adopted pet and a purchased one because both give you love which can’t be explained in words but can only be experienced.

Q. Can you give us a message for new / aspiring pet parent?

A. Getting a pet is a responsibility so you should get a pet only if it comes from within and don’t get a pet whose care you can’t take.
