A. My name is Danish Kulmadi. I am 30 years old and I am a photographer by profession.

Q. Can you tell us something about your pet?

A. I have a female cat and her name is Eezy. She is a mixture of Persian and Indian stray breed who has been with me since the last 3 years.

Q. What was it like when you first saw her?

  1. My friend had found her roaming on the street and he brought her to my home. As soon as I saw her I wanted to keep her but my mom was against it. I tried to convince her from our religious point of view and in the end, she allowed me to keep her.

Q. What has been the biggest challenge of being a pet parent?

A. I was clueless regarding how I should raise a cat because I never had one but, I was aware that several pet foods are available in the market so, I started feeding her with the same. Later she started puking, because I didn’t know that even pet foods available in the market were expected to be consumed within a short time. Due to it she got diarrhea but I got her treated at the vet.

Q. What has been the rewarding part of being a pet parent?

A. Having her around makes me feel happy. At times, when I am under stress or feeling low she plays with me which helps me forget all my problems and I look at life with a positive attitude.

Q. What has been your learning experience of being a pet parent?

A. I have learned that taking care of a pet requires you to do certain things so that you have a wonderful life with them. The same applies to humans and if we just talk with each other happily then this world will become the best place to live.

Q. Can you give us a message for new / aspiring pet parent?

A. Having a pet especially a cat is easy but you should research about the pet you are thinking of getting so that you get an idea as to how you will have to take care of your pet and what are problems you can face while raising one.
